THE PARKS OF TOTTENHAM |
Tottenham has long
been blessed with a wide variety of parks and open spaces and for many decades the
children of the borough have enjoyed these areas for play and sporting activities. There
are of course many landscaped areas with beautiful flower beds and mature trees. These saw
a decline in their use and appearance in the latter part of the 20th century but, thanks
to the emergence of the Friends groups for many of these
parks, they are slowly beginning to flourish once again. This is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all the parks and open spaces within Tottenham but hopefully we will have captured most of the traditional and original parks that many residents enjoyed both in their childhood and in later years. We are only able to display a couple of images for each area although we do have a much wider selection in our photographs library. |
